In a nutshell: We are two fun, crazy, awesome girls who love taking pictures! We teamed up in an odd sort of way. We were "Facebook Friends" but hadn't actually met in real life. I had a wedding to shoot and was a nervous wreck. Kara offered to "second shoot" and I accepted, relieved for the help. We met up in the wee hours of morning at a gas station; Kara hopped in the car with me (coffees in hand, bless her!) and we drove to the wedding, incessantly chattering and telling stories and laughing like we'd been friends forever. We knew immediately that we really liked each other and that we'd be an awesome team. A guest at the wedding, upon finding out we'd just met for the first time that morning, was stunned and said "you seem as if you've been best friends for years!" Needless to say, the day went perfectly ... and the rest is history!

I first fell in love with taking pictures in high school. The Photography teacher did not like my style at all, but he was also the Wrestling coach, so I didn’t really care what he thought. I loved learning to see things in a different way, and developing film in the stinky darkroom with all the other weirdos. Life zoomed along and sadly my love for photography got pushed aside. Years later when my first son was born, I became a stay-at-home-mom and desperately needed a creative outlet. My husband gave me a DSLR camera, and that’s when I fell in love with photography all over again. Once I became a mom, I truly realized the importance of photos. There’s nothing like your first child to show you how quickly life flies by, and how easy it is to forget beautiful moments you think you’ll remember forever.

I absolutely love taking pictures of people & places, and capturing the passing moments in life. I am not into posing people or getting a shot "just right." I like photographing people the way they are, just being natural. I love helping someone remember a special moment; a fun day; a time in their life which meant so much to them.

As much as I like taking pictures, I love being a wife and mommy even more. My husband and sons are the best things that ever happened to me. I also like laughing, sleeping, music, writing, crocheting, daisies, camping, the beach, and old VWs. I am not a fan of mustard or getting up early, and I really hate stepping on Matchbox cars with my bare feet.
